“Farm collection only” means the seller makes the purchased cattle available at the farm, while the buyer arranges onward transport.
Understanding this before booking prevents confusion, delays and unexpected costs.
The Buyer Arranges Transport
At Shajra Livestock, buyers must arrange and pay for suitable transport from our Toba Tek Singh facility.
Delivery is not included in the animal price unless a separate written arrangement expressly states otherwise.
Before choosing a transporter, confirm:
- Number of animals.
- Approximate size of the cattle.
- Vehicle capacity.
- Ventilation and flooring.
- Loading access at the farm.
- Travel distance and route.
- Agreed collection time.
Suitable Transport Matters
A vehicle should be appropriate for transporting live cattle. Overcrowding, insecure footing, poor ventilation and careless driving can place animals at unnecessary risk.
Buyers should use an experienced livestock transporter who understands loading, animal spacing and careful handling.
Applicable transport and welfare requirements should be followed throughout the journey.
Coordinate Before Dispatch
Do not send a vehicle without confirming the collection appointment.
The farm needs to know which cattle are being collected, who is authorised to collect them and when the vehicle is expected. Commercial buyers should also confirm whether their vehicle can access the loading area.
Bring the Necessary Information
The collecting person should have:
- Buyer’s name and contact number.
- Booking or payment reference.
- Identification of the purchased animals.
- Agreed collection time.
- Any required payment confirmation.
- Appropriate authority if collecting for another person or company.
Respect the Hold Deadline
A deposit may reserve cattle, but it does not create an open-ended storage arrangement.
At Shajra Livestock, a non-refundable deposit of PKR 10,000 per animal holds selected cattle for 24 hours. Confirm the exact expiry time and arrange collection accordingly.
